Analysis for Chapter 2, Quote #1
"Ain't many guys travel around together. I don't know why. Maybe ever'body in the whole damn world is scared of each other." (Slim, pg. 35)

This is yet another part in the book that shows George and Lennie sticking together. It also exemplifies the loneliness theme. If the two men hadn't been traveling together, they would undoubtedly be as lonely as all of the other men that they work with. In a way, this is also an example of the predatory nature of human beings. Slim said that maybe everybody is scared of each other; perhaps this is because traveling as a team would show weakness? One man wouldn't want to be seen as inferior over the other? I dunno, you guys tell me what you think.
